It's amazing how many different interpretations this is pulling from everyone. The mark of a quality song is that it provokes thought. Thom Yorke is a legendary musician.

I think this song is about a married woman having an affair with Thom. He is talking to the the woman in the song, telling her he does not want to be friends, just fuck buddies. Her live is crashing down because of it, but Thom just says forget about your house of cards and ill do mine, meaning forget about all your fake bindings to your husband and your fake life and ill fuck you better than you have ever been fucked. Hey, Thom's a great musician, but he is also a dude too, just like us..

My initial reaction was something like "What a weak song!". Now I think that HOC is one of my favorites from the new album.

hadn't thought about that, but i think you got it perfectly. radiohead blows my mind, they just never stop. How they're not famous poets is incredible : P

very nice - this hits me as more of a casual, laid back look at the destruction of our modern society ... like 'forget about your house of cards', 'the infrastructure will collapse' without all the screaming.
the end is inevitable, throw your keys in the bowl, kiss your husband good night, we're done
