nylon would be easy to get beads through, but a bit slidy-ish on the hook? with difficulty to get these beads through crochet thread in video? is it easier to crochet with the hook down like your demo , it's a bit like holding a knitting hook sometimes ? i'll see your website...

Depends... if you are doing a crochet rope for jewelry, I'd recommend the C-Lon. It doesn't stretch the way a cotton or linen thread will, its very strong AND it comes in a HUGE range of colors. 64 to be exact.

I can't tell what this person is using but I like C-lon. It works really well for bead crochet.
